Sexing hermit crabs

Question
hi I read this:http://www.hermit-crabs.com/sexing.html
and I was wondering, We just got 2 new hermit crabs and I've determined that one is a girl, but on the other I could only find one opening on the right side (looking from behind the hermit crab) does that mean it's a male???

Answer
Dear Rebekah,
thank you for your question.
I think that the second one is a female, too, a male should have no opening at all. It's possible that the second gonopore is very small or maybe clotted by a piece of sand or something, but the crab should clean it up soon in that case.
Here are very clear pictures of male and female crabs:

I hope I was of some help to you
