sisters crabs
hi my sister has 4 hermit crabs and i have 3. yesterday I noticed one of my sitter hermit crabs were molting. My crabs haven't changed shells or molted once is there anything wrong? i will ask another question to show a picture of my hermit crab
AnswerCrabs will generally not dig or molt if they can help it when the substrate is not sand or cocofiber. They need to be able to dig. That particular substrate is a very poor choice for a crabitat. I would venture that the crab molted because he could not wait any longer rather than because he was ready. I would suggest switching to sand or cocofiber
