QuestionHello! I'm one of the experts in the ferret category, but I don't know all that much about hedgehogs. I recently adopted one, and I know next to nothing about what to feed her. Right now I have her on Purine One Cat food and feed her the occasional live cricket or meal worm from the store. Should I supplement her diet with anything else or mix foods?
Also, if you have ANY idea how to keep crickets alive for more than a few days (I feed crushed cat food, bread and have cotton balls soaked in water)that would be great. She LOVES them, but I just can't keep them alive for long! I figured out the meal worm thing.. and they turn into scary bugs eventually! YUCK.
Answeryou can buy proper food for your hedgehog, I feed my hedgehogs the meal worms before they turn into those scary bugs. Well i don't really know what else you can feed her because I do give mine real hedgehog food... i dont know how to keep the crickets alive longer so i don't really have an answer for you.
