Mineral Wheels, Multivitamins

I have recently heard that guinea pigs should not have multivitamins or mineral wheels. Is this true? I searched online but I get conflicting answers as to whether or not they should. Thanks!

Hi Nicole

Well, if the dry mix you give is vitamin enriched and you give fresh supplies of vegetables and hay, i.e a good balanced diet, then vitamins and wheels are not neccesary. You will probably find that mineral wheels are ignored anyway.

I wouldnt say they shouldnt be given, they just shouldnt be neccesary.
