Question
QUESTION:    Hi my name is alyssa i am 11 years old on monday the 3rd of June my piggy was put with a male piggy for about 3 hours how do i tell if she is actually having babies??????????

ANSWER: Hi Alyssa,

Your Piggy could be pregnant or she might not be, as 3 hours is a short time compared to the fact that most breeders place the female with the male for about 5 weeks, or until the girl is showing the early sign that she is pregnant, by not allowing the boy to be near her and runs away from him. That means she is pregnant and needs to be separated from him.

Some other signs that'll tell you she is pregnant are these.

Drinking lots more water,
Eating more,
Becoming noticeably heavier,
Teats become more prominent and red looking,
By the round belly she'll get further along.

I hope this helps, Alyssa,

QUESTION: hi thanks
in the first hour we saw and after about 55 mins she started to run away. And i have also noticed she is eating more and getting heavier. When we got her she was skinny. Could that have something to do with it??????

     thanks again Alyssa

Answer
Alyssa,

It sounds like she is pregnant. Keep an eye on her and see if you notice anymore of the signs I named off earlier. It is still to early to tell for sure if she is pregnant or not, but keep an eye on her and if she keep on getting heavier for the next 3 weeks you can pretty well bet that she is pregnant. By the 16th of July she should be big and fat and you should be able to feel the babies move by placing her on your lap with your hands under her tommy. Pretty soon here if she is pregnant she'll start kick or nipping at you if you touch her tommy, mean she is pregnant and is trying to protect her babies from harm.

Also if she keep on getting bigger and heavier of the next three weeks then she is most likely pregnant and will need to have her diet changed to keep her and babies in the best of health.

I hope this helps and if you have any more questions feel free to ask as I'll be more then happy to answer them.
