Question
Hi Laura,
I have had two boars for about a month now, when we introduced them they seemed to get along fine with Kang, the slightly older one, showing all the signs of dominance that we researched.
However recently the younger one, Core, has started attempting to mount Kang. He is not rumbling or nipping or any showing any other sign of dominance. This seems to be distressing Kang quite a bit.
Any help would be grand.

Answer
Hi mike,
Core is trying to assert his dominance over Kang. If you see Core purring and walking around Kang then he is trying to show Kang that he is in control. I myself have two young boars that do that. D'Ablo is 2 months older than Remy i got lucky because Remy doesn't care that D'Ablo is dominant. What you should do is let them run around in a spacious room that way they know that they are stuck together so they might as well pick a dominant Male for now. As they get older dominance with bounce between them, but when and if they start to fight over dominance you will have to separate them for a little while.
Hope this helps
Laura
