Question
I am 11 yrs old, i have a pet ferret and i have no background nfo on him, is there a way i can determine his age ? thanks

Answer
Hi Krista, thanks for your question! So, you have an "ageless" ferret...where did you get him? If you got him at a petstore he should be a baby and they should be able to tell you about how old he is. If you adopted him from an organization they should also keep records on their ferrets. But if you either found him or a friend gave him to you, there is no way that I know of to determine his age 100%.

Taking him to a ferret vet might help, they can probably give you a good estimate. It's a good bet he's probably between 2 and 5/6 years, if he's not a baby that's hyper and neithr is a low key "lap ferret" that spends most of his time sleeping. Other than the behavior I don't know of a definate way to tell, so taking him to a vet to find out would probably be your best bet.

But whatever his age, I'm sure he still has a lot of love to give and receive from you :) Good luck with him, hope I've helped somewhat
