two male ferrets and food concerns

Question
I emailed you about a week ago and i tried putting the two males togeter but the older one is still getting into the babies face. I am just wondering if they are ever going to get along or if i have to set up a schedule for each one to run the house separately? The other concern is the person said to keep the baby on moist food, when can i take him off of that? Thanks for taking your time to answer my questions.

Answer
Hello Alyson,
I must ask you if these ferrets are NEUTERED? That is extremely important, because two UNNEUTERED ferrets cannot be housed together.
But assuming again, that they are both neutered, let me ask ... when you say "getting in the babies face" are you sure it isn't normal ferret sparring? Try this website to make sure that you are not seeing normal male behaviors, rather than  them not getting along. Ferrets are very primitive in the way they establish pecking order, and it could just be normal behavior.
Here is an interesting website about ferret behavior that might be helpful to you:

If it is not true fighting, then let them work it out on their own. There may be a little bullying from the bigger ferret, but the younger one will grow large enough to defend it off. You may only have to keep them separate for a couple of weeks, with supervised play times. And BE sure to give you ferrets something to do when they are out for play time. Just like children, if they are distracted, they are less likely to squabble.

As far as the moist food, he should be able to handle dry food at 8-9 weeks old. Just start to mix the dry with the wet for a few days, using less wet each time.
Good luck and let me know if you need any more help.
And check out that website too, it is really interesting!
