Dustee the ferret

Over the last couple of month's my 1yr old ferrets fur seems to have become very course.  He eats a high quality catfood with linatone and is very happy.  Doesn't seem to have any other problems.  Is this normal?

Could be age, temperature or the cat food.  There are a number of ferret foods on the market that I would suggest over cat food (ferrets probably have different nutritional requirements than cats).  Try Totally Ferrets new Venison formula or Natural Golds Ferret food.  Since he is maturing, his fur may be changing or since we are headed into winter it may be getting courser (sp?) if he is subject to the temp changes.
