yes, i got too female ferrets one is 6month old and the other one is 15 weeks old.they do not have fleas,they are scratching could it been dry skin.they eat marshall premium ferret diet food and we got some furo-tone skin&coat supplement for them.they are very healthy little ferrets and we love them both. they will make you laugh and they play together. what can i do about there scratching thank you.

I wouldn't worry about it. It sounds like they are just acting like normal ferrets to me! Ferrets like to scratch a lot. It is just part of being a ferret. They are itchy animals. I would routinely check them for fleas and other parasites, but it sounds like it is just a normal thing. It might have something to do with the food you're feeding them because Marshall is a relatively low quality brand ferret food. Ferrets need a food with 36-38% protein, 20-22% fat and no more than 3% fiber. Also, when you look at the ingredients, no plant matter (like corn or corn products) should be listed in the first three ingredients.
