Is A Ferret Right For Me?

My parents are unsure about getting me a ferret for the holidays.
I really would like one, but I'm not sure if they are good pets for me. I assume
they are the way they play around and are friendly, but is it a right pet?
What are the things I need to look out for and learn about them?
I need to know everything about medical issues, playing around the house,
and age you need to be to have a ferret. Please help!!! I need to know
everything about ferrets and I don't know where to go to!

The best answer I can give you is: Research.  There is a ton of information on-line and the best book (a "must have" for every ferret owner) is Ferrets for Dummies.  Once you have done the research, you should have a better idea if a ferret is the right pet for you.  After you do the research, if you have specific questions, I am happy to help.
