Naughty Dogs!

Question
I have a 9 month old dog, he is fine when we are with him, but if we leave the house (even for 10 mins) he chews everything! Pot plants, cushions, even plugged in electrical equipment such as the DVD player we unfortunately lost this week! He has another dog to play with in the day, toys galore, even treats... How do i stop him being a monster?!!

Hi Danielle!  Well, you have definitely convinced me that the dog is irresponsible when you are not at home!  My suggestion is to confine the dog so that he cannot get into trouble while you are gone, and I will absolutely promise you that nothing will be ruined when you return.  Yes, I know that sooner or later you have to cross that bridge, but he's only getting in repetitions of destruction when you are gone, and you have to get it under control or else it will cost you a lot more than this free advice I am giving you.  :-)   It also does not surprise people when a nine month old baby gets in trouble if left unattended and that's why they put them in a crib, or have a baby sitter.   Don't leave the dog free to roam your house for a bit, and you will come home to a clean house.   We also have many locations throughout the country that can give you a free evaluation, if you would like to explore that option as well.  We have Sit Means Sit locations http://www.sitmeanssit.com in the following places:
