Having 2 dogs

Question
My fiance and I have one dog that is a puggle.  She is very good hearted but being first time trainers of a puppy she was not trained as well as we would have liked.  She likes to bite and when people come over she jumps and doesn't listen to us when we tell her to stop.  She is now 2 years old.  We recently bought another puggle.  He is almost 9 weeks old and they both play together.  The puppy likes to jump and bite the dog and the dog likes to play bite the puppy.  I just feel like they're so rough with each other.  What can I do to get them to not be so rough with each other?  I don't want the puppy getting bad habits at such a young age.  PLEASE HELP!

Answer
Actually, if neither dog is in pain or bleeding, let them play!!!  Dogs play rough, and dogs that grow up playing with other dogs are less likely to nip humans, because they learn to inhibit their bites.  Do go to a good positive training class with the new pup.  You will learn to teach him the skills that you didn't know how to teach the first dog.  Then, you can teach your first dog the same skills (believe it or not, it's never too late to train a dog).  You can find a trainer at www.ipdta.org, www.trulydogfriendly.com, or www.peaceablepaws.com.
