Dog nipping

My 7 month old cairn terrier has recently began biting my mom's feet sometimes... Just now he was in a room we didn't want him to be in, and we told him no and stuff, but he started barking and tried to nip my mom's feet.. after a bit he was ok but is there any way to stop this?

It's a pretty typical puppy way to play. I'd redirect him towards something that is acceptable to chew on. You may also want to look into some obedience classes and teach him a good, solid, leave-it cue (whatever you're doing - leave that alone) Sandy Case BFA MEd CPDT www.positivelycanine.com
