Treats for training pups

Question
What can I give my 4 month maltese as treats when i train him? I know that they probably have sensitive stomachs at this young age and there are so many kinds/brands of treats out there. When is the best time to train him? What can i do to make leash training less stressful for him? He likes to bite the leash and doesn't like to walk with it. Is he too young for leash training? Any suggestions please? Thank you.

Faye..i thought i answered this once before, but i guess it didnt go through. First of all, do NOT train your dog with treats. Please!  They will learn to respect a treat and not you. You want to train with positive reinforcement and praise.  Also.the treats interfere with the housebreaking since the dog is constantly getting food off schedule and then always has to potty. Find a group class that does leash training without treats. Your dog is the perfect age. Good luck
