sleeps too much-Dog age 8 years-

Question
we have 2 dogs..aged 5-8 ..
Female (cuffy)is 8 and is usually the most perky one.
Now she just sleeps. and you can walk up to her and she won't wake up. until you touch her.
is it age? she has never been a big eater, and she eats the same. When it is time to go out, she was the first one out. Now I have to find her and almost push her outside. Not perky anymore. should I have her checked? or is it just old age? thanks

Thanks for your question.  Its probably just age, but if this was a sudden thing like she was full of energy one day and different the next she needs to be checked out.  But if it has slowly progressed into this then you really dont have anything to worry about.  If you want to be safe i would take her to the vet and have some blood work done to be safe.
