Is it a good idea to keep 2 Lhasa Apso together

I have a 4month old boy lhasa apso and would like to get another.  Would it be best to get a boy or girl and do they get on with other dogs?

Dogs are a social animal, but getting another dog is a matter of the reasons. first do you want another dog or are you hoping that another dog will keep your problem dog company, If you think getting another dog will solve your dogs problem then the answer to owning two dogs is NO. if your current dog is well behaved aty two years old and there are no behavior problems then I suggest you think about the work you put into your first dog and remember that One dog is a pet, two dogs are manageable, but Three or more is a pack. Also first raise your 4 month old, once he/she is full grown and behaving properly, you can begin to think about another. I also suggest introducing a young puppy to an older mature dog.(2+ years old for most breeds.)
