my dog quit

my 3 year old peek a poo  has always gone out to use bathroom recently all of the sudden  he wont go out at all  i have to pick him up and take him out yet he still dont get off the porch. do you know why?

If your dog hasn't used the restroom at all in a couple of days he needs to be taken to a veterinarian immediately. This is indicative of a blockage, and it is an emergency. If he is in fact using the restroom like normal and just has some newfound aversion to your yard, you can reverse that with classical positive reinforcement. Bring toys and treats and make it a big, exciting thing when he goes into the yard. Give him lots of praise for leaving the porch. Hope this helps.
