10 month old siberian husky abused by previous owner

Question
I just got him 5 days ago, we have been noticing some behavior that is making it apparent he was neglected and abused. He was never in the house, brushed, bathed and not given much attention if any. I'm needing some help with earning his trust. He's just not sure what to do with being an inside dog and getting all of this love and affection. He does enjoy being in the house most of the time and we have had no accidents yet which is amazing. He is also very large for his size. I'm wondering if he is Malamute/husky because of his size and curved tail.

Answer
Well what you can do,is encourage him to gain your trust by giving him small treats from your hand and praising him,and in time it would be good to have some of your friends do the same thing and it'll encourage him to be more outgoing and trusting, since he is young it won't take much time

As for him being part Malamute both Siberians and Malamutes have curved tails, also some Siberians are larger then other, but it is a rather common mix and it can be possible, also Akitas are large and have a curved tail as well,so he could also have Akita in him-unless I see a pic of him,it's hard for me to guess,if you want to either send me a link of a pic you have of him online or give me your e-mail address then you can e-mail it to me
