older mix breed male dog w/ new male dog

Question
I have a 4 1/2 yr old dachshund/terrier male neutered dog. I'm thinking about
adopting a shih tzu 3 yrs old neutered male. I'm not sure of how these behaviors
would mix. What would you think about this? Thanks for your help!!

I think they will be just fine,just do it slowly,like just having them sniff through a gate and slowly let them interact together,and there sizes are close so you do not have to really worry about them seriously hurting each other,but don't leave them along together for a while,eventually you probably can
