Hi Bobbi,

Thank you for writing to me about your 6 lb JR Terrier/Chi X.  Both breeds are high energy, especially the JR Terrier.  Your dog will need a lot of exercise..playing ball, frisbee, taking long walks (but not in hot weather), and running around in a fenced yard.  Giving your dog a good hr walk a day would probably be mimimal exercise.  A lot would also depend on the age of your dog.

Be sure that your dog has lots of water and doesn't get overheated in the summer or cold in the winter.  Chihuahuas are very delicate dogs.

Enjoy exercising with your dog.  Watch for signs of fatigue and respond accordingly.
