lab eats other labs poop

Question
I have a 5 month old lab who is eating our older lab's dog poop.  I have tried
feeding the dogs deter, accent, pineapples, hot pepper and putting hot sauce on
the other dog's poop.
Nothing is working!! Help!

I have also heard of using canned pumpkin, but it sounds like the only thing that is going to work is cleaning it up first.  

Why dogs do it is poorly understood.  It may be diet related, but changing the dog's diet might cause worse problems.  Whatever problems it causes for the owner, it doesn't seem to hurt the dog unless you are trying to clear up a worm infestation.
