eye watering pink,

Question
Can I safely wash my dogs eyes when they are irritated?  She might have gotten scratched by a squirrel.  Eye is pink a the corner possibly split.  Can I do something without taking her to vet? She is itching it and it looks pink and watery.

You really should take her to be seen by the veterinarian. She could have scratched her cornea and if left untreated it could get infected and lead to blindness. They will do a test with colored drops to see if it's scratched and if so will prescribe medicine to help heal it.
When dealing with the eyes, it's always better to be safe than sorry.
