GSD biting problem

Question
Hi,We got our GSD "Bo" from a rescue.  They did not have much info. on him except he was abandoned and very sick when they found him. We think he's about 5 years old.  We've had him for 7 months now. We know about the Alpha thing and have been successful except for with small children.  He bites them when he is surprised or annoyed by them. He is also aggressive towards other large dogs.  He's obedient otherwise.  Can you help?  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Stephanie,  When you say you know about the Alpha thing, what are you saying?  What are you doing to correct him when it comes to the children? As far as other dogs, a lot of GSDs don't get along with other dogs.  You probably will never be able to correct that.  Is he obedience trained?  I'm guessing he's neutered since he came from a rescue.  If he isn't, then I would definitely get him neutered.  I would use a spray bottle with water, and everytime he starts to react to a dog, spray him in the face (with direct stream, not mist), tell him no and make him site (to get his mind off what he is doing).  Let me know the answers to the questions about so we can figure out the situation with the children.
