My German shepherd still has floppy ears

My Male German Shepherd is 9 months & still has floppy ears, they have never once tryed to go up at all...
he weighs about 56 pounds, & I'm just a little cunserned,
now I don't want to give my puppy sergury to get his ears up, but what do you do if you really want those floppy ears to go up?? Please help!!!

I doubt there is anything except surgery now, and I am not even sure it will help.  Was it your vets suggestion?  Many people mess around with glue and tape earlier, but I wonder if the ears would have stood up on their own without it.  I don't like giving advice based on other people's anecdotal evidence.  None of the sources I trust say anything.  My personal experience may only be a couple of dozen Shepherds, and all of their ears were up before they grew into them.  I am sorry I don't have a good answer for you.
