Answer
No such thing as a "toy" Pom... :o)
Poms are a member of the toy group of dogs-chi's, pappions, yorkies, maltese-all toys dogs.

If youthink your dog is not eating enough you can offer it more.  I free feed most of my Poms.  It helps keep their blood suger up so they don't get hypoglycemia.  Most of my Poms are 5 lbs or less and this can be a problem with smaller Poms.  If your Pom is over 7 lbs then you probably don't need to worry too much about that and can just feed him the 1/2 c a day plus something to chew on other than meal time like raw duck feet or pig ears or beef knuckle bones.  Good for teeth and keeps him busy.

You need to ge that attitude adjusted with your Pom before he hurts someone. You need to reteach him that you are the leader not him.  Some ways you can do this are to put him on his back and hold him there till he is still.  This is a good way to teach him to be submissive to you.  You should have the children do this too with your supervision and you there at the ready to scold him (no hitting) in case he tried to bite.  You should also look into obedience classes with him to help you learn how to make him a better companion. :o)

Best of luck.
