I have a border collie that is between 11 and 12 months old and i recued him from the pound and he is smart i want to know where i can get some free training tips for him

You should be able to find quite a bit of free information on the Internet.  You may want to start off by reading my blog which gives tons of free information.  Just look through the archives starting with January 2006 found in the right hand sidebar.  I have information on both stock dog herding and obedience training.  Here is the link:  http://petchronicles.blogspot.com
