aggesive dog

i have a 5 year old collie and a 7 year jack russel they have all ways got on but in the last 2 weeks the collie has attacked the little dog twice for no reason

A dog can become aggressive for a number of reasons but it is highly unlikely that it was for no reason.  It could be a change of routine.  Feeding issues.  Territory issues.  Or some other incident in which the Collie now feels protective of his/her space.
