Question
My Border Collie is very jealous of my other dog, a King Charles Cavalier. He always wants the attention of others, and if the other dog gets in his way he attacks him. Would having him castrated get rid of this aggressive behaviour. . The border collie is not aggressive towards people, he's very affectionate. I've tried punishing him, but nothing seems to work. Help...

Answer
Castration will not solve jealousy but if the dog has aggressive tendencies he should most probably be neutered. Not only will neutering calm the testosterone based aggression but will also prevent a temperament based problem from being passed on.  The only reason to keep a dog whole is if he is to be used as breeding stock and has the physical and temperament characteristics you want to be passed to a new generation.
