british bulldog skin problem

Question
hello,

recently i have noticed the my bulldog (a year old this month) has red raised areas on her shoulder area, they are slightly raised and the hair seems to be coming away,
i took her to the vet who said it was ringworm and gave me an anti fungal shampoo which i am bathing her in every other day for a week. to be honest im not completely convinced it is ringworm as the treatment dosnt seem to be making it any better, infact im noticing more areas where there are pinky sore looking lumps.
any advice or help would be appriciated as i dont want my lily to suffer with this and would like to know what it is to be able to treat it correctly.

thanks

Sarah

Answer
Sarah:  The VET should have taken a scraping sample of the area... They can grow it ( culture) for 48 hours.... and see what it is.
Make sure you go back and ask for a culture...

Your baby could just be allergic to foods or environmental things such as pollens, dust, dirt, cats, carpets,,,, all kinds of things.

YOU can try a great skin supplement / NuVET Plus -  this will help or even cure many coat/skin problems.

Next, you can give your kid 200 IU of Vit E 1 x per day.  This is very helpful too!

Good luck with all
