Question
hi,i took my female boxer to vet to get her second jag at 12wks,the vet said she had a murmour and to come back 2wks later to check again, she had been to vets twice before and no mention of it,however ,after a check again she says heart is louder on left side and saying maybe score around 2/6 wich i think is not too good.so vet recommend i get her properly checked out with some echo machaine or something and i booked staight in for tomorrow,i have insurance for her ,but the vet gave me the idea she could be on medcation rest of her days,i'm very worried about her and the cost of all this.could she grow out of it or is it not looking to good for her? she runs about ,eats well in into all sorts  pups are.

Answer

I am not sure of any medication, unless it's to regulate her heart rhythm.

You really should take her to a vet-cardiologist for testing.

Read the info I listed below to help make a informed decision. If you have insurance on her, I'd check to see what's covered, and do it anyway. Her health is important.

My female is on thyroid medicine twice a day and that's no big deal giving medicine to keep her healthy. So don't worry about that.

Let me know in a follow up what the cardiologist said, alright?
