Question
QUESTION: Dear Jack i gave him star pro for puppy, and yesterday he ate about 3 bowls of
dog food 1 bowl of rice and liver but my family sometimes gave him table food
such as potato and bread...what should i do now?cos my vet isnt available untill
weekend.

ANSWER: Hello,
Yes he is being fed way to much. A puppy of his size should only be fed about 3 times a day with a portion of half a cup. I would stop instantly with giving him table food. Pro-star is a good food so he is getting all the nutrition that he needs where he doesn't need any table food, and he just plain out shouldn't have any. Try feeding him as I mentioned and see if that regulates him. You can keep me updated and you can ask for any more advice as he progresses. Best wishes.

QUESTION: dear jack, now my puppy already getting better thx for the advice. He ate dog
food and dog biscuit and now his stool is normal. The last time i went to pet
shop pro star is finished so i bought regal for him is it ok to change dog food
and do u have any suggestion which one is the best.Do u have any advice for
his health care coz this is my 1st dog so im still new and sometimes confused
...thx a lot

ANSWER: Hello again,
I'm glad he is better. There are a lot of good healthy dog food types. One is blue buffalo that is a very good one. Some that are easier to get at like a local grocery store are Iams, beneful, and science diet. I have fed my beagle beneful since I first got her I have went to puppy formula to adult formula and she is doing so well on it. But of course all dogs have different personality. I used to get the top premium dog food that was very exspensive and mine wouldn't eat it so its never based on "is the most exspensive the best?" When it comes to a dog's health care you can never be to safe. Just be sure to take him for his check ups regularly (which your vet should send out a mailer) get his shots, feed him well by staying off human food, always look for signs of him not feeling well such as him beign groggy, not wanting to go outside, not eating or drinking, vomiting hair loss, coat not feeling normal. All of those are basic signs that a dog is not well. You should do well a dog will grow to be your best friend. I have had my beagle for 2 years now and each day is a new day I wake up with her and spend my whole day with her. Thats another thing, try socializing him at a early age it will be better in the long run for park visits and public occasions. Remember as well as his health concerns, you should be concerned about his happiness. Love him, play with him, and treating him like you best friend will make him to become a fine dog. Best wishes to you and your beagle. Remember if you ever need me don't hesitate to ask a question.

QUESTION: Dear..I havent find the best food for him any advice for how to change it ?
because im still lookin what best fit for him..how do i know which food suit him
the most..because i just realized i change food already 3 times and i dont want
to make him sick..

Answer
If its not to much trouble send me a e-mail back on his weight and height and I will look at my chart and see what would be the best. Also what are the three that you have had him to eat before this? Its nothing to worry about it won't make him sick, just cranky haha. Send me that back and I will look up stats and statistics with my colleague and see what she says too. Ok talk to you soon.
