cat isnt pooping in litterbox

My family got a cat a few years ago. She only has two problems(besides being dim witted). Practically everyday, she throws up and she doesn't poop in her litterbox. The weird thing is she pees in her litterbox. At first we thought she was afraid of the subpump kicking on. We moved her litterbox into a different room and showed her. She continued the same thing as before. Now her litterbox has been in many places and nothing has changed. What can we do?

It's possible that your cat has worms or that she is allergic to something in her food.

I would get her some worm medicine, but not at a pet store. The over the counter worm medicine, the worms are developing an immunity to. You need to get it from a vet who will have the latest products available. I would do this first.

Then I would try a different high quality pet food, or possibly one for sensitive stomachs. They have allergies to foods and ingredients just like people do.

You should take the cat to the vet for an exam. She may have some type of blockage or intestinal parasites in her intestines which is causing both behaviors. If the cat has a medical problem that is causing her pain when she poops, she will associate that pain with the litterbox and not use it.

I would rule out a medical problem first before trying to corrct it as a behaviorial problem.
