Wet food

Question
My mom and I bought a cat not too long ago but accidentally bought crunchies that were too big for his mouth. We bought some wet pouches to feed him while we looked for crunchies that were small enough for him. We have found them and he likes them well enough but still meows for wet food.
What is an effective way to wean him off of the wet food and onto the dry food? He's got my mom trained already that every time he bitches, he gets a pouch.

Answer
Hi,
I am not  a fan of dry food for cats-its higher calorie, higher fat and higher glycemic index, more processed and obviously dessicated.
As far as my preference for diet -I like suggestions from
Dr Pitcairn's Natural Medicine for Dogs and Cats book.

But, it is a choice, and it seems like your mom needs to be firm if she just wants to give him dry and not give into his begging. It is really just a matter of not giving it to him.
You might want to give both?
Brands that are ok are wellness, avoderm, innova and wysong.
Best of luck!
