Bumps on cats back

Question
Hi
I was wondering if you would know what this is, and if I should be concerned.  When I pet my cat he has these small lumps under his skin on either side of his spine at the lower part of his back just above his tail, maybe two on each side.  They almost feel like lymph nodes or something.  I am not sure if they are painful but he does not seem to like me feeling them too much.

Also, I just got both my cats treated for fleas and was wondering how quickly they can get worms from fleas and if I should treat them prophylactically or wait until seeing some sign of them.

Thanks for your time.

Answer
usually the only worm they can get from a flea is a tape worm and your vet can give you a pill for that. you will see white things around the anus that look like dried up rice.....thats tape worm!

about the bumps.....i have no idea...best to let the vet check it out
