fixed?

Question
Hi. Thanks for your help. Last year we adopted two adorable black kittens that had been abandoned. They were both females and were supposedly fixed. Within the past couple of months one of them has been "bleeding" light pink "blood" and within the last week has started making "yowling sounds." She's perfectly fine, not injured or anything but I'm beginning to think she hasn't been fixed after all. Can you give me your opinion? Thanks so much.

Answer
It does sound like she may not be fixed.  It's possible she has a vaginal infection, too, if the discharge isn't clear.  Any time there is a discharge from the vagina when there shouldn't be one, a prompt vet visit is in order.  It may be recommended to do blood tests to check her hormone levels to see if she is truly spayed.
