Question
I have a 13 year old cat that is part turkish angroa and I have 13 year old female DSH and a 9 year male DSH that is 18 lbs. My question is that two 13 years are normal size and then I have my big boy. What type of food should I feed them?

Answer
Hi Angela,

Your letter brought a smile to my face. I presently have 13 cats all different ages and breeds. They are all in good health and weight except for Raku. She is a fixed female about 4 years old and weighs close to 25 pounds. She doesn't get into any more food than the others do. She is just a fat cat.
What I feed my household is in the morning they get some canned food. Not much, just three cans. Not all my cats eat canned food so the ones who do get enough. I then have dry feeders out for them. I feed them an indoor feed blend. All the major brands make one. Find which one your cats like.
As for your big boy; if this was a single cat household, you could easily control his weight. But it's very hard to do this in a multi cat household. The best you can do is make sure he gets some exercise everyday. Nothing  too strenuous, just enough to get him moving around a bit.
Good luck with your big boy and enjoy having him around.

Ciao, Karen
