black nipples

My cat had kittens and she is neglecting to feed them. My cats nipples have turned black and are hard. She acts like every time they try to feed that it is painful, do you know what's wrong?

There are a couple of possible problems, one is a mastitis problem and the other is where the milk dries up in first time litters.

At any rate, you need to get your female to a veterinarian immediately!!!!!  No matter what, she needs treatment and, if you want to save those kittens, you will need the vet to show you how to tube feed the kittens.
