Question
My Cat had kittens on 6/2 and today 6/3 one of them has one eye open ---- will that harm the kittens eye to be open so soon?

Answer
It is quite early. Here is an articel that tracks the typical developmental stages for kittens:

Did you actually witness the birth or is it just that you first saw the kittens on 6/2? What I am getting at is that sometimes mom-cats have their kittens in a hidden place and owners aren't even aware of the birth until later when the kittens appear outside the hidden place they were born - if this were so then the kittens could be older? If you start to see the other kittens opening their eyes in the day or two then I would suspect they may have been born earlier. But if you witnessed the birth and are certain of the age being only one day old, this is unusual. Keep a careful watch on this kitten loking for any signs of infection or other possible eye troubles. Typically infections actually can delay the eyes opening but anything unusual should be carefully watched and checked by a vet.
