Sore on paw of house cat

My nine year old house cat got into a sticky mouse trap and cause a small sore since she is declawed am always checking her front paws then last week found a scab falling off but infected and oozing  
have treated her but now swelling and some oozing back what can I do to get this sore healed

Hi Marilyn,

You need to get her to a vet. It sounds like she has an abscess on her paw. The vet will drain it and treat your cat with antibiotics. Unless this is done there is a good chance that this infection will keep on coming back. Good luck.
