9 month old 7 weeks pregnant

my kitten is about 7 weeks pregnant, she is still quite small, i am quite worried that she will have a hard time giving birth. am i over reacting?

Hi Chrissi, well 9 months is pretty young and pretty small to be having a litter. You never know if there are going to be delivery problems until the cat is in labour. Sometimes even large cats have problem deliveries. It is best if you can try to be home a lot around her due date. I would recommend speaking to your vet also and letting him know the situation and see if he is on call in case you need his services in the evening. Some vets only work 9-5 and are not available if your cat needs an emergency ceasarian so it is nice to have this all sorted out ahead of time. Because of her age she may also have problems taking care of the kittens. Some mom's are just too young and don't make the best mothers. You should have some kitten milk replacer and a bottle on hand.. JUST IN CASE.
