Overdue Pregnancy and Mammary Prob

Question
I have a cat who is heavily pregnant; she is part bengal.  To be honest, I worked the dates out that she was due last Monday (now 1 week overdue).  I felt the babies about 5 weeks ago (confirming what I thought) that she was about 5 weeks pregnant at the time.  She has  been slowing down for 2 weeks but is showing no signs of nesting.  She is eating little and often and the kittens are very active.  However, I am worried about her due date; can cats deliver with no problems when they are overdue or did I get it wrong?  She also has a blocked mammary gland.  She has a lump which i getting bigger by the day.  She will not let me handle her tummy at all so cannot lay her on a hot water bottle (which is what I did with my previous queen last year).

Answer
Tracy,

This cat needs veterinary attention immediately.  70 days is beyond the normal maximum of when she should be delivering kittens (after day 69, we get worried).

I do not like the sound of the mammary involvement as it sounds like it could be mastitis.  She may need some pretty powerful antibiotics that will not cross the umbilical barrier (like bayitril) and may need a c-section.

Please let me know what your vet says.

Best regards... Norm.
