Question
itscleo!
My spayed female cat Cleo returned home yesterday morning totally traumatized. I think she was attacked sexually by a neighborhood stray. Now she is very withdrawn, not eating, and not cleaning herself. All she is does is sleep. I'm worried! I have never heard of a cat dying from a sexual encounter...should I bring her to the vet? Thanks
AnswerLauren,
Yes, by all means, have a vet check her out. Normally, cats get over this type of thing pretty quickly unless they have been bitten and the bite has become infected. Behavioral changes are often harbingers of medical problems. So, a visit to your vet is certainly warranted.
Please let me know how Cleo does!
Best regards... Norm.
