Kitten lost a tooth.

Question
My kitten "the cat" who is about 3 or 4 months old now, was playing with the bath mat ( a rug ) and one of the teeth on her bottom jaw has came out, it has a tiny amount of fress blood around the break mark (on the tooth) so i know it's not becuse of rot. Will i need a visit to the vet, as she seems fine and it's not bothered her in continueing to attack the bath mat.

Any sugestions?

Answer
David,

Kittens are incredibly resourceful and yours is simply losing baby teeth because the adult teeth are starting to come in. I would think that the tooth you found was probably loose and causing her some discomfort. Kittens usually have the majority of their adult teeth by the time that they are about 6 months old or so. Think back to when you lost your baby teeth, there was always a bit of blood on the tooth, it's a perfectly normal occurance and nothing to worry about, in fact your kitten is probably trying her level best to pull out any other wiggly teeth. I hope that you have found this information helpful. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me again.
