Question
I have 2 Siamese cats the one in question is male about 4 years old and neutered.  All of a sudden he has started to slobber major amounts of saliva. He is not free to the outside world. His tongue is pink, he is eating and drinking the same amount as usual. Should I be concerned?

Answer
Hi Sharon,

Yes this is not normal. First check your house over and make sure he didn't ingest something that would cause this. Ingesting household chemicals, flea medicines, toads, lizards, bugs and other things could cause this. Have your vet check him out. Make sure he examines his mouth and jaw closely. Hopefully your vet will find an answer to the problem. Good luck.
