Question
QUESTION: After visiting the vet last week & antibiotics given, the cat still does not eat or drink. Why is that?

ANSWER: Carol,

This cat still does not feel up to snuff.  Have you had the cat back to the vet? There may be a different problem or the cat may need a different antibiotic. Sometimes it takes more then one visit to nail down a problem.  Also, your vet can give you some more palatable foods, for example A/D, which most cats will readily eat.  Every once in a while, we have used tuna packed in oil which is OK to give if the cat is just not eating.  If the cat's nose is stopped up, and it cannot smell the food, often it just won't eat.

The first order of business, however, is to get back to your vet.

QUESTION: This cat is sneezing a lot as before. She is on doxycyline (vet). This very charged me $257.00 for the visit. I cannot pay that. NOW what do I do!

Answer
Carol,

By now, the doxycycline should be helping.  As I said in my answer above, you can try A/D from your vet or some canned tuna packed in oil. If this does not work, your vet can give the cat a vitamin B12 shot to see if the appetite will get back into gear.
