Question
i have a cat who had 6 kittens and now they are gone they were 2mths but my mother cat is like really full of milk is there something i should do our will they dry up?

Answer
Hi Carrie,

You really just have to let her dry up. Depending on how heavily the kittens were still nursing, it should take 1-2 weeks, but sometimes as long as three. If you ever have another litter, I recommend letting the kittens stay with mom until 12 weeks to prevent this. Mom will be able to wean the kittens more slowly so that milk production naturally tapers off, and painful engorgement is not a big risk.

Good luck!
