Question
Hi Teresa,

I'm planning on getting a kitten or cat. Of course I'll need to bring it home and sooner or later, travel with it. I notice a hard plastic pet carrier for sale on E-bay. The size is 18" long, 11" deep, and 12" high. Do you feel this is a good size for the average fully grown cat?

Thanks,

Answer
Hi Milton this is a good size if you are just using it to take the cat to the vet or for short trips. If you have to fly the cat or you need to use it for many hours at a time you will need a taller crate. Regulations state that the cat should be able to stand up and turn around without ever hitting the roof of the kennel.. or without ever having to crouch to avoid hitting the roof of the kennel. Try for the next size up and at least 2 inches taller. It will give you more flexibility. Teresa
