Cat dilemma Urgent please

Hi
I have a 15 year old male neutered himalayan persian and I am looking to get another cat, preferable persian too.

Someone has offered to take their 3 year old male persian.  I just found out he is not neutered and had been used to breed.  I would love to give this poor animal a good home which I can do but is it fair to my eldery cat?

I work full time but have a week off to have them get used to each other.

Please advise.

It will be hard on the 15 year old. The 3 year old is more hyper. However, talk to your vet about baby powder. If the cats smell the same, they will act more like family. Yet, the three year old will play still. Using baby powder that is safe for the cats for a couple of weeks could work. You have to ask your vet. Good luck and sorry
