Labrador Retriever 12 years of age

Question
I have a 12 year old labrador that has had some issues with her nose and eye. She seems to have a cold where there is green discharge from her nose and it seems to also effect her eye which at time has green discharge. She has been on antibiotics, prescribed form the vet, which help her when she is on them.  But once she is off the symptons come back. The vet indicated that dogs do not have allergies but I am thinking that she may need something long term to help her.
